Privacy Policy

Clean Green Safe ("CGS", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Clean Green Safe mobile application and any related services (collectively, the "App").

By downloading or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

CGS is operated by Clean Green Safe Pty Ltd, ABN 13 605 257 323, registered in Australia. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), as well as Apple's App Store privacy requirements.

We collect the following categories of information:

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name and email address. This is required to save your supplement stack and sync your data across devices.

Health profile information

To personalise your supplement ratings we collect information you choose to provide including your age, sex, height, weight, activity level, life stage (including whether you are pregnant, breastfeeding, perimenopausal, or post-menopausal), health conditions, and current medications. All health profile information is entirely optional. You may skip any or all fields and still use the core features of the App.

Supplement data

We collect information about the supplements you scan, save, and rate within the App, including product names, brands, barcodes, and the ratings assigned.

Symptom log data

If you use the Symptom Tracker feature, we collect your daily symptom entries including hot flush counts, sleep quality scores, mood ratings, energy levels, and any other symptoms you choose to log. This data is used solely to generate personal insights and correlations within your account.

Usage data

We collect anonymised data about how you use the App, including which features you access, how frequently you use the App, and general performance data. This data cannot be used to identify you personally and is used only to improve the App.

Device information

We collect standard device information including your device type, operating system version, and app version for the purposes of technical support and performance optimisation.

We use your information for the following purposes only:

• To create and maintain your account
• To personalise your supplement ratings based on your health profile, age, life stage, health conditions, and medications
• To generate your Nutrient Gap Analysis and stack health scores
• To surface symptom and supplement correlations in the Symptom Tracker
• To send you relevant notifications about your stack, including TGA alerts for products you have saved
• To process your subscription payments through Apple's in-app purchase system
• To respond to your support requests
• To improve the App through anonymised usage analysis
• To generate AI-powered recommendations and analyses when you explicitly request them and grant permission

We do not use your health information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than personalising your experience within the App.

CGS collects sensitive health information including health conditions, medications, life stage, and symptom logs. We treat this information with the highest level of care.

Your health data is:

• Stored in encrypted form at rest and in transit
• Never sold to any third party under any circumstances
• Never shared with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms
• Never used to train third-party AI or machine learning models
• Used exclusively to personalise your experience within CGS
• Shared with third-party AI service providers only when you explicitly request an AI-powered feature and grant permission (see "Third-Party AI Services" below)

CGS is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The ratings, scores, and insights provided by CGS are for informational and educational purposes only. Nothing in the App should be interpreted as medical advice or as a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. Always consult your GP, pharmacist, or specialist before making changes to your supplement routine, particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking prescription medications.

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest using AES-256 standard encryption. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data including your health profile, supplement stack, symptom logs, and account information will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted third-party service providers to operate the App, including cloud hosting, analytics services, and AI service providers. These providers are contractually bound to process your data only as directed by us and in accordance with this policy. See the "Third-Party AI Services" section below for details on AI data sharing.

Apple

Subscription payments are processed through Apple's in-app purchase system. Apple's privacy policy governs any data they collect in connection with payment processing. CGS does not receive your payment card details.

Legal requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by Australian law, court order, or government authority.

Business transfers

If Clean Green Safe Pty Ltd is acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

In all other circumstances, your data stays with us.

Clean Green Safe uses third-party AI (artificial intelligence) services to power features such as AI Supplement Recommendations, Stack Review, AI Supplement Search, and Lab Results Analysis.

What data is sent

When you use an AI-powered feature, the app sends specific data to a third-party AI service provider to generate your personalised results. The data sent depends on the feature:

• AI Supplement Recommendations: the family member's name, age, gender, weight, height, activity level, allergies, medical conditions, current medications, dietary restrictions, and health notes
• Stack Review: your current supplement stack (product names and dosages), health goals, health profile (age, sex, life stage), and computed nutrient coverage data
• AI Supplement Search: your supplement search query (product name or ingredient name)
• Lab Results Analysis: your uploaded lab report file and the selected family member's name

Who the data is sent to

AI features in Clean Green Safe are processed by one of the following third-party AI service providers: Google, OpenAI, or Anthropic. Which provider processes a given request depends on the feature and service availability. All three providers are bound by data protection standards equivalent to our own, and none use your data to train their AI models.

Your permission

The app will always ask for your explicit permission before sending your personal data to a third-party AI service. You will see a consent dialog explaining exactly what data will be sent and to whom. You can choose to allow or deny the data sharing. If you deny, the AI feature will not be available, but all other app features will continue to work normally.

How your data is used by AI providers

The AI service providers process your data solely to generate the response you requested. Your data is not used by these providers to train their AI or machine learning models.

The core CGS app is intended for adults aged 18 and over. The Family Profiles feature allows adult account holders to create profiles for children and manage their supplement data. Child profile data is associated with the parent or guardian's account and is subject to the same privacy protections as all other account data.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at privacy@cleangreensafe.com.au and we will delete it promptly.

Under the Australian Privacy Act you have the right to:

• Access your personal information — you can request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correct your personal information — you can update your health profile at any time within the App under Settings → Health Profile
• Delete your personal information — you can delete your account and all associated data at any time under Settings → Account → Delete Account
• Opt out of non-essential communications — you can manage notification preferences under Settings → Notifications
• Data portability — you can request an export of your supplement stack and symptom log data in CSV format by contacting us

The CGS mobile app does not use cookies. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not use any third-party advertising SDKs or tracking frameworks.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you through the App and update the Last updated date at the top of this policy. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
